From our offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and Beijing we provide high caliber advice that is wholly independent and expeditiously delivered.

Our clients include large financial institutions – principally private equity, hedge funds and sovereign wealth funds – and selected multi-national corporations.

We assist our clients to make profitable investment decisions through independent research.

Our geographic focus spans Asia from South and South East Asia to Japan and South Korea, as well as our deep experience across Greater China. Our clients increasingly. call on us to look at investment opportunities in fast growing industries and regions beyond Asia.

Our focus includes the most dynamic sectors in Asia, from consumer Internet, consumer goods & services and environmental technologies to advanced manufacturing and healthcare.

  History

  BDA was founded in 1994, initially focusing on China’s fast-growing telecom sector. By 1999, BDA became recognized also as the leading advisory firm in China’s Internet sector, following early work for the founders of companies such as Alibaba, Netease and Sina.

  From 2003, BDA started to expand its private equity and hedge fund client base. As China’s e-commerce market took off, BDA became increasingly active advising on investments in China’s consumer sector.

  We then expanded our activities to new sectors - including advanced manufacturing, robotics, AI - and to new geographies in Asia and beyond.
